Two women in a gym having a conversation. One woman is lifting a kettlebell on her shoulders, and the other is standing nearby. The gym has large windows, dumbbells, kettlebells, and gym shoes.
A woman with short gray hair wearing glasses and a black shirt is receiving a shoulder massage from a person with tan skin and a wedding ring on their finger. In the background, a person with short hair and glasses is visible, and a neon light in the shape of a cloud is on the wall. There is a black weight plate on the ground with white text.

What makes gain. different

For women, by women

We’re a gym for women, by women. The community of womxn that make up gain. MAKE UP gain. … it’s just, special. In your luteal phase? We won’t push your buttons. Mad at the patriarchy? Let’s slam some balls. The energy created in a female forward space just hits different.

Programming with purpose

This is something we’re incredibly passionate about. Our programming is designed with purpose. We run 12-week cycles of programming (though you can hop in any time!) to ensure that you’re learning and progressing specific skills with confidence. We also incorporate movement through all planes of motion, and varying intensities, and power to keep your joints and bones strong for the long haul.

Modifications for every body

Every body is different - so why would we treat everyone the same? Whether you’re training with a coach 1:1 or in a group class with 7 other people, we’re going to make sure that the exercises we’re asking you to do make sense for your unique body. That could range from adapting a plyometric to a lower intensity option if you’re recovering from a broken toe, elevating your push up if you’re 30 weeks pregnant, or giving you a barbell if you’re ready to progress your deadlift to something more challenging.

Lift & yap

While we celebrate personal bests and milestones, there’s a sense that when one person wins, we’re all winning. This isn’t your bootcamp atmosphere - it’s a place where we’re connecting between sets, comparing book recommendations, asking for advice, and letting the experience of training be something to look forward to. At gain., we’re a third space in the most genuine way. You’ll get to know the people on the mats next to you, which means you’ll want to keep showing up because we’re all in this together.
